Deleting your data

Anyone can ask, whether or not you have an Instagram account. Email hello@jdenandro.com with:

• your Instagram username, if it’s about comments
• what you want removed: everything I hold about you, or particular comments or a contact brief

I delete it within 30 days, including from my tool’s backups and exports and from any draft that quotes your comment, and reply to confirm when it’s done.

When my tool next reads that reel’s comments, it drops any comment that is gone from Instagram, with the replies under it. It can miss one: a deleted reply, an older comment on a reel with more than 100 comments, a comment on a reel it no longer checks, or a comment quoted in a reply video I saved. If you want to be sure, email me and I’ll remove it by hand.

• A contact brief reaches my mailbox on Google Workspace, or sits in the site’s server log, which Vercel deletes on its own within 30 days. I delete the email on request. Once the form’s email is switched on, Resend, which sends it, keeps its own record of each message for 30 days.
• Comment text I have already sent to Anthropic for a draft is kept under Anthropic’s own policy, not mine.
• The site’s analytics hold nothing that identifies you, so there is nothing there to delete.
• Your comment on Instagram itself is yours to delete there. When I delete my copy, the comment stays on Instagram until you remove it.

My app, Portfolio, connects only to my own Instagram account. If you commented on my posts, you never connected it to yours, so there is nothing to disconnect: email me instead.

To check which apps can reach your own Instagram account, open Instagram’s settings and look for “Apps and websites” (some versions call it “Website permissions”). Remove any you don’t want there. Menus move between versions; Instagram’s Help Center has the current steps.
